An Event Upcoming

FWAHC's major moneymaking activity, the Rocky Manginelli Memorial Swap Meet is being held Sunday, March 14. Our task this year is to direct traffic while those manic souls from other clubs, who did our job the past few years as we tried in vain to hold them back, park cars. If you are brave, thrive on very little sleep, and have some extras in the garage that you would like to place in the booth for sale, call Bob Shaw, Jerry Needham, John Ulrich or Marvin Marshall.

Would You Like To Join Us?

Contact the following people for membership information:

  • In Lincoln call John Ulrich at 421-9252 or Bob Shaw at 435-4905.
  • In Omaha, call Jerry Needham at 291-7122 or Marvin Marshall at 733-6868.

Condolences

Our condolences go to FWAHC member Bob Bredwell of Beatrice on the loss of his father, Lee Bredwell. It is difficult to lose a parent. Bob, our thoughts are with you.

A Call To Arms With Regards To A Legislative Threat To Our Hobby

It has been the practice of the editors to remain non-political in this publication. We have made at the expense of politicians, to be sure, but have scrupulously avoided taking stands on political issues. However there is a bill

currently in the Nebraska Legislature which demands our attention and action! The bill, Legislative Bill 389, was introduced by Senators Beutler and Schrock and was read first on January 13, 1999. It is imperative that you contact your senator immediately and express your opposition to this bill. It reads as follows:

A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to motor fuel; to establish a standard for gasoline sold in Nebraska:; to provide exceptions to the standards; to provide duties; to provide an operative date; and to outright repeal section 66-1225, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Nebraska.
Call to arms for HMRP
