April Events

Ice Cream is on Thursday, April 12, 7:30 p.m., at Baskin Robbins, a little bit south of 70th and Pioneers.

Breakfast at the Mahoney State Park Lodge, Saturday, April 14, 9:30 a.m. We make no assertions that the Easter Bunny drives a British car or will appear.

Fish will be held at the Windmill Inn in Nehawka on Friday, April 27, 7:30 p.m.

Airfest 2001 at the Nebraska Air National Guard which will include the Airforce Thunderbirds, the Tora!Tora!Tora! group. We are to take part in a Car Show as part of the festivities, and may be asked to escort a few guests to their places on the field. If you are interested in taking part, contact Rus Devoe at 402-393-3798 for instructons as to where and when to meet. This should be one fantastic show! Please consider taking part.

SCCA Autocross Schedule

Some of our number are known to drive at a rapid rate of speed while dodging small orange conical objects placed in their path. For the uniniated souls in our number, this odd sounding activity is known as autocrossing or solo racing.

For the rest of us this means fun, bragging rights, fun, consternation, fun, extended adolesence and fun! The events schedule for SCCA is published here to allow any who wish to take part in that opportunity.

Bob's been pestering my answering machine lately so it must be time to write another column for the faithful. (That call identifier sure is a nice toy). I know I'm a little late but with the Club election outcome tied up like it was I didn't know if I'd have a column to write.

I have been recovering nicely from Needham's party last month. Nancy said you were all well-behaved. Jerry is still speaking to me so I assume that the usual band of suspects did OK. I was really glad to see the new members and some old faces I haven't seen in a while.
