(Those that aren't...we know who you are and where you live). ![]() A great time was had by all. Like so many things the two clubs do; HMRNP Christmas Party, John & Bev's We're Bored Let's Have A Party Party, Monthly Fish, Ice Cream, and Breakfast, this has turned into a regular event. The Needhams will have to move with a NFA to get out of hosting this event again next year!

Autocross at AksarbenFlatwater members Gerry Conant, Mike Nelson and Dennis Stone recently took on the 'Far East' imports at a recent SCCA Solo II event, also know as an Autocross held at Aksarben on March 25th. The day was cold and windy with nobody brave enough to 'take their top down' however the companionship was warm and the driving experience was hot! Dennis Stone's '74 Jensen Healey, freshly clad in brand new Panasport rims and Kumho tires, took FTD (fast time of day) among the Flatwater members. Gerry Conant in his '80 TR7 was in the middle slot, with Mike Nelson in his '79 Spitfire trailing behind in third. With only three members present, a podium finish was guaranteed! One other British car was present at the event. Lee Mabry from South Dakota brought his Caterham 7 down by trailer, slapped on some very sticky race tires, and was very close to taking FTD for the entire event. Tires were the subject of the day. Dennis was obviously happy with the newly acquired wheel/tire package, and stated that his car displayed a big difference in handling. Gerry, who has brand new Yokohamas ready to be mounted on some TR8 alloy wheels he is currently refinishing, was heard to say, "Just wait until next event." Gerry will undoubtedly be faster on his new tires. Mike, on the other hand, did his best to just hang on while 'skating' around the track on his cheap ![]() |
