FEBRUARY Events

Ice cream will be on Thursday, February 9 at the Baskin Robbins at 70th and Pioneers in Lincoln. We will begin at about 7:30 p.m. Next ice cream event will be March 8.

Breakfast will be Saturday, February 11 at Mahoney State Park. We begin at about 9:30 a.m. Next Breakfast event will be March 10.

Last Friday Fish will be Friday, February 24 in Nehawka at the Windmill Inn. We will begin at about 7:00 p.m. Next Fish event will be March 30.

The Annual Football's-Over - It's - Too - Cold - to - Work - on - Cars - and - Too - Salty - to - Drive - and - We're - Bored - So - We - Might - As - Well - Have - A - Party Party is at John and Bev Ulrich's house, 6845 S. 44th in Lincoln, February 17. We will eat, drink and swap stories; the piano will be playing and there will be singing! Bring a covered dish and what ever you want to drink. If you need directions call John at (402) 421-9252.

The Annual Flatwater Grand Prix, also known as the Nigel Setright Memorial Grand Prix will be contested at Speed Indoor Racing in Lincoln February 24 beginning at 3:00 p.m. (Please note the time. It is an hour earlier than it was last year). To get there, take the Lincoln Airport exit from I-80, but instead of turning west to the terminal go north past the filling station

and turn left after the Star City Motor Sports building. Speed Indoor Racing is a large building with a checkered flag motif on the front. Please call Bob Shaw at 402-435-4905, Fred Meier at 402-475-1302 in Lincoln, or Marvin Marshall at 402-733-6868 in Omaha so we can tell Speed Indoor Racing and George's Red Pepper Grille how many to expect.

Who is really the fastest driver in the club? Come, enter, and take a crack at earning bragging rights for a year.

In March

The St. Patrick's Day Party at Jerry and Nancy Needham's house in Belleview. Details will follow in the next newsletter. The Needhams always throw a good party, so be there!

Rocky Manganelli Swap Meet, date and location to be announced later.

And Beyond

Way down the road in April on the 28 and 29, The Thunderbirds and The Tora! Tora! Tora! Group will be at the Air National Guard Air Show in Lincoln. We are requested to be present for a British car show as part of that event. Plan on being there!

And way way way down the road in July, will be MG International in Saint Paul at the Fairgrounds on Tuesday, July 3 through Friday, July 6. Bill Evans and Bob Shaw set up a travel itinerary that is as follows: Leave Lincoln and Omaha to meet in Fremont the morning of July 3. We will take a meandering route up Highway 77 to Sioux City, 75 to LeMars, 60 on to 15, and Highway 15 into Mankato, MN, where we will stop for the night. Next morning, we will stop for brunch in Faribault, MN, drive on to the Super 8 to register, then to Fairgrounds for the show. We will stay at
