Recap of party past

The Annual Football's - Over - It's - Too - Cold - to - Work - on - Cars - and - Too - Salty - to - Drive - and - We're - Bored - So - We - Might - As - Well - Have - A - Party Party occurred on February 17th at the traditional location of the very tolerant John Ulrich and Bev Bohlke. The revelry started early and continued well into the wee hours

when Ryan and Rene Reis, relying on the stamina of relative youth (they are under 40) officially hung the last dog and pronounced the evening over. According to John, no furniture was broken, all lamp shades are in place and everyone knew their name when leaving. However, there were a few who thanked Joe and Betty. We have heard of no one arriving home at the wrong address, and have heard of no separations. So we are willing to pronounce it a successful party. Thanks, John and Bev, for being gracious hosts. We look forward to doing it again next year.

From the Presidential Garage

Are you tired of the snow? I predicted I'd have to mow the grass by April. I'm ever the optimist but I'm having some doubts right now. Maybe if I just tell you what's happening with the club I'll forget about the weather.

The Friday fish went on as usual even with the ice and rain and I'm happy to report that nine of us showed up. I'm also happy to report that the Windmill Tavern will begin serving Fat Tire Beer, the micro-brew from Colorado. They will still have all our old favorites, including that nasty Bud Lite.

Four new faces came in out of the rain to join us for the evening: Jerry Conant of Council Bluffs with a TR7. Gerry is a member of the Triumph Drivers Club; Mike Nelson of Omaha with a 1979 Spitfire. The one with beautiful bumpers; Sam Nanfito of Omaha and his Ford Cobra. (It's a kit, don't let him fool ya!); and Nan, who is too smart to give a last name but is a friend of John Rued.
